Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with Meowmin. If something is not right, we'll make it right. This policy explains how refunds work for Meowmin Max subscriptions, Lifetime, and consumable Streak Shields. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record — Paddle handles the charge, VAT/GST, and the refund itself.

1. Who to contact

• Email us: contact@taucity.xyz — we can approve and trigger refunds via Paddle.
• Paddle: If you prefer, you can contact Paddle support directly with your Paddle order ID. State shows as PADDLE.NET* MEOWMIN or similar on your statement.

2. Subscription refunds (Starter $1 / 4-Month Challenge / Yearly)

3-day free trial: No card is taken, so there is no charge to refund. You can simply stop using the app — no action needed.

• Starter $1 first 30 days (capped 280 chars, 3 shields): If you cancel within the first 30 days, contact us within 14 days of the $1 charge for a full refund. Capped taste is intentional — we still refund fairly.
• Renewals: If you were charged for a renewal (e.g., $15/mo, $49.99/4mo, $99.99/yr) and did not intend to renew, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund the renewal — provided the new period has not been heavily used (e.g., fewer than 3 journal entries created in that period). We handle this case-by-case, fairly.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Meowmin Max access continues until the end of the current paid period. We do not prorate the remaining days after you cancel (unless required by local law — e.g., EU/EEA statutory rights still apply).
• How to cancel: In the app: Profile → Manage Subscription (via RevenueCat Customer Center), or email us and we will cancel for you.

3. Lifetime — Gift of Allah ($199 one-time)

• 14-day refund window: Request within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, Lifetime is non-refundable as it grants immediate, permanent access (and family sharing).
• Family invites that have been redeemed do not block a refund within the window — we revoke access on refund.

4. Consumable Streak Shield ($0.99)

Streak Shields are consumable, one-time purchases ($0.99 each) that add 1 shield to your balance. Once a shield is consumed to repair a streak, it cannot be refunded. Unconsumed, unused shields purchased within the last 14 days can be refunded on request — we will deduct them from your balance.

5. How refunds are issued

• Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method. Timeline is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank/card provider.
• You will receive a confirmation email from Paddle when the refund is processed.
• We will also confirm by email from contact@taucity.xyz.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have a 14-day withdrawal right for distance purchases. For digital content delivered immediately (e.g., Lifetime, shields), you acknowledge that delivery begins immediately and you may lose the withdrawal right once access is granted — but we still offer the 14-day refund windows above, which are at least as generous as the law requires.

7. Abuse, fraud, and chargebacks

We reserve the right to decline refunds in cases of abuse (e.g., repeated purchase/refund cycles) or fraud. If you file a chargeback with your bank, please also email us so we can help — chargebacks are slower for everyone and Paddle will handle the dispute.
